Math 8

Yesterday students reviewed and corrected their diagnostic tests.  Today students had their first lesson on square numbers and area models.  Students completed exercise 1.1 in their math workbooks.


Science 8.

Students had a practice safety quiz in preparation for tomorrows safety test.  Students were introduced to their first science assignment on modeling/postering and presenting on a plant or animal cell.  This project is due Friday Oct 10.  Students completed section 1.1 and the section on microscopes of their textbooks.


Science 7

Students completed a practice safety quiz in preparation for tomorrows safety & WHIMIS test.  Students were introduced to their fist assignment for the year- the food web of an ecosystem of their choice.  This project is due Friday Oct 10.  The characteristics of living things was covered along with species communities and food webs.

Math 7

Students yesterday review and corrected their beginning of the year diagnostic tests.  Today students went over the rules of divisibility and how to find factors.  Students completed exercise 1.1 in their workbooks.
