Math 8-Continued with data management and probability.  Homeworkà finish page 1 and 2 on  probability 7.2 for Tuesday.  Probability game presentation should also be prepped for Thursday June 4th.

Math 7- Jags were introduced to equations today in algebra.  Homeworkà review how to isolate and solve for variables in equations.

Science 8- Robot construction.  Homeworkà ensure you’ve picked a geologic feature and a format that works for you.  This is due Thursday May 28.

Science 7- Jags reviewed chapter eight in group format.  Homeworkà read intro to chapter nine.

Science 7-Introduction to small unit on bridges.  Jags learnt about six bridge types and completed a newspaper bridge with a  partner.  Homeworkà bridges poster- 4 bridges with two pics of each and an explanation of their features; due Thursday May 28.

Math 8- Introduction to probability.  Homeworkà finish probability 7.1 w/s for Monday & get your game and its probabilities figured.

Math 7- Jags looked at dependent and independent variables with probability.  Homeworkà finish independent and dependent variables w/s.

Science 8-  Jags looked at geologic features on land and sea.  Homeworkà finish geologic features w/s and have your passion project on a feature of interest to you ready for Thursday May 28.

Math 8- Algebra unit test written Monday was handed back marked for review.  Homeworkà read intro to unit on probability pg#380 in your text.  Start thinking about your game and its odds or probabilities that you would like to present.

Math 7- Jags completed a jigsaw format group exercise in probability.  Homeworkà finish probability questions on w/s and start thinking about your game that you would like to present for probability.

Math 8- Algebra and Linear Models was delved into.   Group work in jigsaw format and teacher led demonstrations.  Homeworkà finish all questions in your linear models algebra w/s.  Start reviewing as we are nearing the end of the unit.

Math 7/Science 7- Jags had a day to catch up on classwork and worked in the subject area needing the most attention.  Homeworkà Lab Reports from Friday May 8th and May 1st are due.

Science 8:  Jags continued with their hydraulic robot construction.  Homeworkà preview chapter 8 in your Science Probe for Thursday.

Math 8- Algebra and Linear Relations was delved into.   Group work in jigsaw format and teacher led demonstrations.  Homeworkà finish all questions in your linear relations algebra w/s.

Math 7- Jags completed a jigsaw format group exercise in interpreting graphs.  Homeworkà finish all questions in your interpreting graphs worksheet and complete pg# 165 in your MMS workbook.

Science 7:  Jags today worked in groups in a jigsaw format completing geology questions on the rock cycle and plate tectonics.  Homeworkà ensure your plate tectonics w/s is complete.

Math 8- Algebra with fractions was delved into.   Group work and teacher led demonstrations.  Homeworkà finish white algebra w/s.“combined operations”, & Linear Relations booklet given out today for JIGSAW.

Math 7- Students looked at Median, Range, Mode, and Mean again.  Homeworkà Finish questions in your probability booklet given out today for JIGSAW.

P4&P5-  Select jags helped put finished touches on panels prior to assembly.  Lid cleats, beckets, latch mortise, and lid ends were constructed.

Science 7- Jags today undertook a lab on convection currents, tackled assigned earth composition problems, and learnt about Canada’s leadership in the global mining industry.
Homeworkà finish your lab report from today’s lab and finish your map- both are due Thursday May 14.

Woodwork 8- Class cancelled to accommodate Jazz Fest.

P4 & P5- Time capsule construction.  Students not involved in the construction of the time capsule enjoyed a game of man-tracker in the Royal Roads forest.
