Math 7:  Class reviewed percents and were introduced to proportions to solve percent problems.  Homeworkà b,c, d & 1-4 on consumer percent w/s.

Science 7:  Chapter 4 & 5 review on chemical vs. physical change and particle models.  No homework.  Ensure though you’re cancer and elements research assignments are complete for next lab day.  Mixtures research up next.

Science 8:  Jags had a build day to construct their ping pong launcher’s.  Homeworkà  prepare your experiment for comparing liquids and their viscosities Thursday.   Hintà winning design for ping pong launch distance will probably utilize a capsule in their design.

Math 8:  Jags reviewed their ‘unit review’ homework and were given a practice unit test.  The test that counts will take place Wednesday.  Homeworkà finish practice test and study.

Math 7:  Class rescheduled into computer lab to accommodate another class.  Mixtures research project introduced in lab.  Elements wrapping up and should be in at the latest next Monday Feb 2.

Science 7:  Class cancelled to accommodate legacy project design brainstorming. 

Science 8:  Thursday’s lab was introduced (viscosity).  Fire drill.  Day ended with 10 minutes of build time for ping pong launcher challenge which will wrap up tomorrow.  Homeworkà  prepare your experiment for comparing liquids and their viscosities.

Science 8- Jags reviewed hydrodynamics and aerodynamics and ended with an introduction to viscocity.  Homework-->Read section 4.3 in your Science Probe and answer the ‘check your understanding’ questions.  Class also spent some time in the lab researching their assigned elements.

Science 8- Atomic structure review.  Class reviewed the different atomic bonds and how they relate to locations on the periodic table.  Class reviewed looking at the four different chemical reactions and how to balance a chemical equation.  Homeworkà Read next section 4.3 and answer ‘Check You Understanding’ questions. (page 108 in Science Probe).

Math 8- Class reviewed consumer percent quiz and tackled percent word problems.  Homework – finish consumer percent word problems 4- 10 on page 260 of your math makes sense textbook.
