Science 8- Jags
reviewed the content on circulation and respiration covered thus far. Class ended with an introduction to the
Excretory & Digestive Systems.
Homework—questions 1-11 in your excretion & digestion W/S. Also, remember that your global warming
survey and correlated graph is due Wednesday Nov 26.
Math 8- Students again reviewed division of mixed fractions and had 3 problems
to solve in class that involved both multiplication and division of
problem. Identifying what the word
problems are asking for was reviewed and stressed. Pink booklets assigned for homework were
checked for completion. Class then
learnt how to find the LCM for 2 or more numbers in readying fractions for
addition and subtraction. HomeworkàFinish page 43 in
exercise set 1.6 (salmon color) on adding and subtracting fractions. Fractions will be wrapped up after this last
section.
Science 7-
Students as a review exercise wrote a practice test on chapter three. Students will write a real chapter three test
on Thursday. Start making your 1 page of
notes permitted for the test. Jags ended
class working on their town planning assignment- Forest Grove. Homework- read the ‘Pesky Perch’ case study
distributed in class and ready yourself for tomorrows last day of research on
the endangered species of your choice.
Students are to create a PowerPoint slideshow from a template based on
their findings.
Math 7- Jags reviewed multiplying and dividing
decimals from last week and from their homework. Jags then tackled long division of whole
numbers and decimals. Homeworkà finish pages 159-162 on long division- (pink
booklet).
