Apologies for the delay in getting this out; parent teacher interviews took priority last night.  Students had a half day.

Science 8- Jags had their weekly computer lab time to correlate their survey data into graphs using Microsoft excel or Google spreadsheets.  Class ended with an applied math- science challenge to end the week with.  Students had 30 minutes of build time to construct with a partner a straw bridge to span 40 cm and hold as much weight as possible.  The winning bridge held 4 lbs with a few that made it to 3.5 lbs.  Homework—finish blue w/s on respiration and circulation for Monday Nov 24, and your global warming survey and correlated graph is due Wednesday Nov 26.   Next week we’ll tackle excretion and might start looking at the immune system.

Math 8-  Students again reviewed  division of mixed fractions and had 3 problems to solve in class that involved both multiplication and division of problem.  Identifying what the word problems are asking for was reviewed and stressed.  HomeworkàOverdue now- Pink Booklets should be done for Monday.
In addition complete questions 4-10 on page 145 and questions 3-15 on page 151 of your Ma Makes Sense texts.
