today in class discussed and read about efforts to preserve, conserve, and
restore ecosystems. Canadian examples
were discussed including our own Gorge waterway. Class ended with a discussion around the
dangers created with global warming.
Austrailia’s beaches, our pine beetle, and the heat waves and cities
were discussed as examples. Homeworkà Finish conserving and preserving ecosystems

Math 8- Multiplying
fractions & Prime factorization to simplify was reviewed again. Jags were introduced to the related task of
multiplying mixed fractions. Homeworkà finish ‘Multiplying mixed fractions’ W/S

Woodwork 8- Students were given two demos. Demo one- how to safely use the table router,
and why we’re using it. Demo two- how to
measure lengths with miter ends, and how to glue up miter joints squarely.
