Math 7—Jags today
reviewed and practiced factoring to prime numbers as a strategy for reducing
fractions. They then continued with
their decimal study and transitioned from adding and subtracting decimals to

Science 7-Jags
today learnt about the 100 mile diet and efforts and movements to eat locally to
reduce our ecological impacts. The problems with our highly industrialized farm
industry and why small scale farming is being phased out was also
discussed. Students ended the day
researching an endangered animal.
Endangered animal reports are due Tuesday Nov 25. Continue monitoring your consumption for
your Ecological Footprint task due Tuesday Nov 18.
Math 8- Students reviewed multiplication of fractions
in word problems. Jags then were
introduced to dividing fractions.
Homework- Finish Exercise set 1.4 pages 28&29.
Science 8- Jags mimicked the work of a heart through the
four liters bucket challenge. Class went
over circulation homework from Friday and were given a circulation rap song as
a reward. Homeworkà finish circulation and respirations review
questions for Wednesday Nov 19.
