Science 7- Students
submitted their yeast lab reports. Some
are still outstanding; get them in.
Students got their first tests for science back. Students entered corrections and had
opportunity to ask questions. Students
were presented with their next project for the next little while. Students are to report on the Northern
Gateway Pipeline tentatively due for Friday Oct 24, 2014. Class ended with a discussion on energy flow
through ecosystems. Homeworkà finish energy flow
through ecosystems questions on worksheet and start researching about the
Northern Gateway.
Math 8- Students got back their chapter 1 tests
and class went through the test answers marking in corrections if needed. Time was allotted for questions and
clarifications. After the test was
reviewed students started chapter two on Integers and were assigned workbook
pages 29 &30 to complete for tomorrow.
Wood Technology 7- . Students
completed safety for additional power equipment and continued making their hand
tools introductory “lap joint” project.
Students were reminded to bring back in their forms and course fee.
Science 8. Science 8 students presented their cell
models complete with songs, poems, and skits.
Very well done! Presenting in
front of peers is a very demanding task.
After presentations students wrote a quiz on cells and cell
systems. Homework-à start brainstorming what microbe/pathogen you’d like to
create a ‘Wanted Poster’ for.
Math 7: Students went over their chapter 1
tests. Students entered corrections onto
their tests and had time to ask questions.
After reviewing class’s test students started a new chapter on
Integers. Students started working on
workbook questions on page 31 and were to finish it for tomorrow. Homework WB pg 31.
