Hello Parents & guardians,
Listed below is what the jaguars were up to for Science, Math, and Wood Tech. classes. All students have their very own textbooks. Textbooks can go home, but need to be remembered to be brought back every day for class work. Remember that class documents can be found on the class blog. (http://johnstubbsjaguars.blogspot.ca/ )

Science 7- Students
completed their first lab for science 7 on yeast. Yeast formed part of their unit of study on
ecosystems as a decomposing agent.
Homework- students are to have a lab report to submit on Tuesday Oct 14. Also, students if not already have done so,
can be working on submitting their wood web project which was due for today
Friday Oct 10.
Math 8- Homework- read introduction to Integers
in your workbooks and textbook in preparation for start-up of second unit.
Wood Technology 8-
Day 2 of woodworking 8. Students
completed safety for additional power equipment and continued making their hand
tools introductory “lap joint” project.
A safety demonstration for the band saw which students have already
started using was also completed.
Math 8 & Science

not meet today. However, for Science 8
students should have a cell model and have prepped for a quick showcasing of
their work for Tuesday. Remember to have
a poem or song to go with your presentation and to be able to identify where
the organelles are located on your model and what their functions are.
Have a happy Thanksgiving weekend.
