Wildcats had their academic Wednesday - (no exploratory or PE) today. During Math Wildcats looked at encryption (codes) and had 2 codes to crack in their team. Input/output was also covered. In Science students looked at the diversity of life and how amazing it is. The loss of wildlife was discussed. The negatives and positives of wildlife rescue were stressed. Socials studies was introduced and the class discussed the four themes of social studies: Culture, Economy, Environment, and Government. Students started their look at the global citizenship with a look at how peoples rights in other parts of the world are lacking. Case study of Guiyu and electronics recycling was given to highlight the theme of global village. Wildcats also had their first English class today. Students were told that they would be deciding their writing topics this year but that they would need a reference or list of inspirational ideas to refer to. Wildcats crafted their lists with guiding questions provided and titiled their lists 'Writing Territories'.
