Wildcats Wednesdays.  Wildcats had Math, Science, English, Socials, and Art today.  In Math students reviewed multiplication with and without a box.  Homework-> finish your multiplication exercise (back side too).  Bonus math question presented (optional work) on Mrs Peabody's egg basket.  Science--> students had a detailed look at the five kingdoms of life (Animal Kingdom) and another Five category--> the five categories of vertebrate animals.  Homework--> finish your 5 column chart on vertebrates provided during class.  English:  During English Div 6-7 had some awesome additional help from two grade 8 peer tutors.  A class reading on 'Twins' took half the class.  Remaining time was given for student to work on their Memoirs.  Emphasis was placed on not writing in a 'Journal" like manner.  Writing with a purpose was the message.  Students brainstormed ideas and started rough drafting.  Homework--> refine your drafts and get ready for next weeks memoir submission or Due date- Oct 8th.
Socials.  Wildcats were introduced to the Student Vote that Spencer grade 6 is participating in.  For the next two weeks socials class will include government and voting emphasis that will culminate in a student vote for Canada's next government.  No homework.
Art.  Wildcats were busy putting finishing details on their personal portraits of themselves they are constructing.  Photos of students were printed to assist in their drawings.
